The 3rd annual La Musa Awards have taken place at a moment in which the representatives of the Hispanic heritage are doing their best to exalt the Latin Americans and Hispanics who have achieved success in their countries of origin, in the United States and in the rest of the world.

 

The Hispanics who were honored included:

Beto Cuevas, the Chilean singer in the famous band “La Ley” who received the Conquistador

Colombia’s Fonseca, who took home the Triunfador Award, thanks to a successful musical career that led him to cross borders.

Alejandra Guzmán, who got a La Musa

Café Tacuba, that won the Ícono award.

Additionally, during the ceremony, Héctor Ochoa (Colombia), Myriam Hernández (Chile), Gustavo Santaolalla and Diego Torres (Argentina), Álvaro Torres (El Salvador) and Emilio Estefan (Cuba) joined the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame thanks to their contribution to Latin music.

Estefan, a prominent representative of the Cuban culture, and a successful entrepreneur and composer talked about the importance of valuing what is Hispanic at a time in which one may think that there are no contributions or achievements to celebrate. On the contrary, there is a lot to be celebrated. This kind of acknowledgements precisely denotes joy and hope.
