If you’ve decided to live in the United States, you should know what the minimum wage is there.

Since 2009, the minimum wage in the U.S. is $ 7.25 per hour. However, this amount varies from one job to another.   For example:

  • If the job includes tips, the hourly rate will be less than the minimum wage.
  • If the employee is under 20 years old, he or she will receive $ 4.25 per hour.
  • If you’re a full-time student and working for a university, college, etc., you’ll get 85 percent of the minimum wage.
